Selene AC (1998)
Barrillo x Manzanita
Selene provided my "introduction into the Andalusian world."
I had no idea when we purchased her from Rancho Encantado (breeders of Guardiola
Andalusians) what a great adventure it would become...
My previous equestrian sport was playing polo and I was fortunate to have owned many wonderful
polo ponies during my 20 years of playing.
But somehow, the Andalusian breed digs deeper into your heart, truly becoming your equine soul mate.
Selene is strong, yet ultra sensitive; gentle and sensible beyond words. We have been learning dressage
together as a team and her work ethic and eagerness to please has made it an enjoyable adventure.

We enjoy doing Musical Freestyles together (to Spanish music) and we also
participate in Breed Parades. The proudest moment of our show career so far
was winning the Pacific Rim Award, which is a High Point Award of four Regional Andalusian Shows.

Columbia II (2003)
Kianto x Rafaga JIM
We picked out Columbia when she was just 3 months old at Jackass Mt. Ranch
(Ami MacHugh). I had been admiring both of her parents at horse shows and she was an incredible weanling - huge, confident and very sweet.
She is just starting her training and I can't wait to be showing her in the Dressage arena. She has incredible
movement and a Look-At-Me presence
that should make her a great success.
Columbia has become quite bonded with my husband Rob and even though he has
many of his own polo ponies to exercise, he says that Columbia is truly one of
his favorite horses to ride. She is very forward and responsive and her movement
is powerful, yet graceful. It brings me great pleasure watching the two of them
together.
COLUMBIA HAS BEEN BRED TO BANDOLERO CLXXVI FOR A MUCH ANTICIPATED SPECTACULAR
2009 FOAL. This foal will be For Sale. Their 2008 colt is also For
Sale - see Enrique's page

Dulcinea (2006)
Novelisto D x Tutti I
Dulcinea
(Spanish translation "Sweet" ) was purchased the Fall of 2006 from Cortijo
Chand.
She had all the qualities I was looking for:
Conformation, Movement, Temperament and Lots of Hair!
Dulce has been a delightful addition to our mare herd. She is bright,
friendly and inquisitive yet with creditable common sense. Her movement
is graceful and precise in action and with superb balance.
